Research-use-only classification.

Every compound in the Ronin catalog is supplied strictly for laboratory and bench-research applications. This is not a disclaimer buried in fine print — it is the operational frame that governs how we label, describe, and sell every compound we stock.

Research peptides and research-use small molecules are classified as chemical research materials, not as drugs, natural health products, or food supplements. They have not received a Drug Identification Number (DIN) from Health Canada. They have not been submitted for New Drug Submission (NDS) review. They are not approved for human therapeutic use, veterinary use, or administration of any kind outside a controlled research context.

Ronin labels every compound “Not for human therapeutic use — for laboratory research only.” This label reflects the compound’s actual regulatory status, not a legal hedge. These compounds genuinely are research materials, supplied to researchers, for research purposes.

Health Canada regulatory context.

Health Canada regulates substances intended for therapeutic use in humans through the Food and Drugs Act and its subordinate regulations. A compound becomes a regulated “drug” under Canadian law when it is sold or represented for therapeutic purposes — the regulatory trigger is the intended use, not the molecular structure.

Research-grade peptides sold to researchers for laboratory investigation, without therapeutic claims or dosing instructions, do not meet the definition of a drug under the Act. They are chemical reference materials. Ronin operates within this classification by ensuring that no compound page, product label, marketing material, or customer communication makes therapeutic claims, provides dosing instructions, or suggests administration in humans or animals.

Our compound pages cite peer-reviewed research literature with PMID identifiers. The citations reference what has been studied in preclinical and clinical research settings — they do not represent therapeutic recommendations, outcome predictions, or off-label use guidance.

CBSA import classification.

Ronin imports research compounds as a CBSA-registered importer. Each inbound shipment is declared to the Canada Border Services Agency under the appropriate tariff classification for chemical research materials, with accurate product descriptions and supporting documentation.

We do not classify research peptides as dietary supplements, cosmetics, or food ingredients to reduce import scrutiny. Accurate tariff classification is a legal requirement under the Customs Act, and it is also practically sound — misclassified imports create seizure risk, compliance flags, and potential sanctions that would interrupt supply to every researcher who depends on us.

Why compounds carry the research-use-only label.

The “not for human therapeutic use” label on every Ronin compound is a factual statement of regulatory status, not a liability disclaimer. These compounds have not undergone the regulatory review process that would permit them to be sold as drugs. Specifically:

• They have not completed the full clinical trial program required for therapeutic approval under a Canadian or FDA Investigational New Drug (IND) framework (with limited exceptions for specific indications in specific jurisdictions).
• They have not received a Drug Identification Number (DIN) from Health Canada or an NDA/BLA approval from the FDA.
• They are manufactured to research-grade specifications, not pharmaceutical-grade cGMP specifications required for human-use drugs.

The label exists because it is accurate. Some of these compounds are the subject of active clinical investigation. Some have advanced further in the regulatory pipeline than others. But none of them are approved therapeutic products in Canada, and Ronin does not represent them as such.

Researcher responsibilities.

Researchers who order from Ronin are responsible for ensuring their use of the compounds complies with applicable law in their jurisdiction. This includes:

• Confirming that the intended research application is permitted under local, provincial/state, and federal law.
• Obtaining institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee approval where required by their institution or jurisdiction.
• Maintaining laboratory safety standards appropriate to the compounds being handled.
• Storing and handling compounds according to the manufacturer’s and Ronin’s documented storage conditions (see Storage and Handling).
• Not reselling, relabeling, or redistributing compounds for therapeutic purposes.

Ronin provides research-grade material, verified analytical documentation, and reference literature. We do not provide legal advice, regulatory guidance specific to a researcher’s jurisdiction, or institutional compliance support. Researchers with jurisdiction-specific regulatory questions should consult qualified legal counsel.

Business registration.

Ronin Peptides operates as a registered Alberta corporation with an active CRA business number. GST/HST is collected on Canadian orders as required by the Excise Tax Act. The corporate entity files annual returns with both the Alberta Corporate Registry and the Canada Revenue Agency.

We state this plainly because anonymity is common in the research-peptide space, and researchers deserve to know whether they are ordering from a registered business or an anonymous storefront. Ronin is a registered Canadian corporation operating under its legal name, filing taxes, maintaining business insurance, and subject to the same regulatory obligations as any other Canadian e-commerce business.

What Ronin does not claim.

Transparency about regulatory compliance requires being explicit about what we do not claim, not just what we do. Ronin does not:

• Claim that our compounds are FDA-approved or Health Canada-approved drugs.
• Provide dosing instructions, administration-route guidance, or therapeutic recommendations.
• Represent research findings as clinical outcomes or therapeutic benefits.
• Claim pharmaceutical-grade (cGMP) manufacturing for research-grade compounds.
• Offer medical advice, dietary guidance, or health-related recommendations of any kind.

Our compound pages reference the published research literature. Peer-reviewed citations describe what has been investigated in preclinical models and, where applicable, in clinical research settings. They do not constitute therapeutic claims or use recommendations.
